Mariela Ruiz-Angel is a proud Chicana, born and raised in the border city of El Paso, Texas. She understands the needs of diverse communities and works to empower, educate, and advocate for all Burqueños. Prior to her appointment as Director of ACS, Ruiz-Angel was the City Coordinator for the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA). In her new role leading the third branch of public safety, Ruiz-Angel is working to ensure that the department follows through with its mission of advocating and promoting a citywide culture that values the voices of all residents. She brings to the City of Albuquerque an extensive background in education, business development, and corporate customer relations. Ruiz-Angel holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and a Master of Social Work in Leadership and Administration.

VP of Public Policy and Community Affairs, Mark43

Ganesha Martin, Esq., is a change agent working at the intersection of diversity, law, and police reform. She has dedicated the last decade to improving the culture of policing in the nation’s most divided cities. She currently serves as Vice President of Community Affairs and Public Policy for leading cloud-native public safety software company, Mark43, where she focuses on supporting the needs of law enforcement, community, and first responders. Ganesha has a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University and practiced as a civil litigation attorney before joining the Office of the Mayor in Baltimore, Maryland as a Special Assistant to the Mayor and Assistant Deputy Mayor for Public Safety & Emergency Management. While in Baltimore, she also served in the Baltimore Police Department in several leadership roles focused on community involvement, legislative affairs, and Department of Justice Consent Decree compliance.

Morgan is an internationally recognized expert on cybersecurity strategy, cyberterrorism, national security and intelligence. He currently serves as Chief Security Advisor for SentinelOne, and is the chief technology analyst for several major cable news organizations. Morgan's landmark testimony before Congress on Healthcare.gov changed how the government collected personally identifiable information. Previously Morgan was a Senior Advisor in the US State Department Antiterrorism Assistance Program, the Senior Law Enforcement Advisor for the 2012 Republican National Convention, taught behavioral analysis at the National Security Agency and spent a year teaching the FBI how to conduct internet investigations. In addition to 18 years in state and local law enforcement as a highly decorated state trooper and detective, Morgan has developed solutions in defense, justice and intelligence for the largest technology companies in the world including Cisco, SAIC, Unisys and Alcatel-Lucent/Bell Labs.
